Frequently asked questions

How do I keep my Keeper clean and look after it?
Tampons and pads are not sterile, they are merely bleached and whitened so that they appear so. Plenty of good washes (some women like to soak their Keepers in a mild vinegar solution) should be enough to keep your Keeper fresh.

What are the holes at the top for? - I am leaking and I think it's the holes.
The holes around the top of the rim of your Keeper are a design feature to stabilise suction. They do not interfere with Keeper function. If you are leaking at all, then your Keeper is not correctly positioned to create an airtight seal.

Can I wear my Keeper overnight?
Your Keeper is made of smoothened rubber. There is less of a nidus for bacteria and toxins to proliferate than on the fibrous and synthetic wadding of a tampon. Feel free to use your Keeper overnight.

I'm still leaking!!
If you think that you are managing to insert your Keeper correctly (i.e. releasing so that it folds out completely) then your problem may be to do with POSITIONING. Some women wear the Keeper high up inside and have to reach in to grip the tab, while others wear their Keeper low down and trim the tab accordingly so that it is not jutting out uncomfortably between the labia. It is all a matter of personal experimentation and practise.

How do I deal with my Keeper in a public loo?
Many women get extremely tense at the possibility of being seen (by other women) rinsing out their Keepers at the sink of a public loo. The whole rinsing procedure only takes a matter of seconds so that if the loo is not particularly crowded, rest assured you may even get away with it totally unnoticed, or if you prefer, you can bring in a pre-moistened tissue and wipe clean in the cubicle.

I just can't get it in!
Your vaginal canal was designed by Nature to accommodate the girth of an erect male member and the circumference of a newborn cranium. When the Keeper is folded into quarters ready for insertion, it is considerably narrower than either of these. Try changing your bodily position as you insert - squat, one leg raised etc. Relax. Fold calmly and precisely. Do not be afraid to fully insert your Keeper and fingers into your vagina.
